Draftmark Tap System: Fresh draught beer

The Draftmark Tap System is an entirely new way to enjoy the experience of your favorite draught beers, right from the comfort of your own home. Just place the system in your fridge, insert a 3.8 liter refill bottle of Budweiser, Shock Top Belgian White, Shock Top Wheat IPA, Michelob Amber Bock or Bass Pale Ale and always have a chilled, relaxing evening on tap. Draftmark is compact. It's easy to replace refill bottles. It's patented compressor technoogy locks in freshness and retains pressure. Therefore, air never touches your beer until the beer touches your glass.
My immediate reaction when I heard about the Draftmark Tap System was thrilling. My Husband and I love beer and drink it on the weekends or with certain meals. A tap system in the comfort of my own home sounds great! Sign me up! I was thrilled be a part of the BzzAgent Campaign. When I received my voucher in the mail I immediately looked up the locations in my area. I went to all of the locations listed on the website  to get my hands on it and start testing the product out. To my disappointment all of the 6 liquor stores in my neighborhood were out or did not accept the voucher. We were bummed. I was tired of traveling all over San Diego.
After weeks of waiting for one to come in or to find a location that had them on stock and would accept my voucher I finally went 20 miles out to get it. Followed the directions and later that night was eager to pour my first glass using my new Draftmark Tap System. Again another disappointment. Total FAIL! I got my foam out of the tap system than beer! My first impression: this sucks! Hubby tried over and over and still got so much foam. It's not that it wasn't good enough to drink, but if you drink you beer you know the foam is not what you want to drink. We let is settle and was later able to drink it. Needless to say, this is not what the Draftmark was supposed to do.
We finally wasted  finished a refill of Shock Top Belgian White, we tried another refill with  Budweiser. This seemed to flow alot better and did not produce as much foam. We were able to enjoy the Budweiser beer from the Draftmark tap system with less foam as it still tasted fresh and flavorful. It is said the Draftmark stays fresh in your fridge for up to 30 days. It of course didn't last in our fridge for more than 3 days being that we shared it with our friends and family we had visiting.
Although my first impression of the Draftmark wasn't the best, I'd have to say it may just be the Shock Top Belgian White that produces more foam for one reason or another. It's not the best system and isn't a replacement for drinking a fresh beer from tap, but it's great for an at home system. I'm glad I gave it another chance. My Husband is enjoying it more than I am and he would definitely recommend it to others.
