One Ocean and Turtle Reef at SeaWorld
As most of you know, my family and I LOVE Seaworld. It helps that my Husband works there too. Needless to say, if you've seen most of my photos you can tell we spend a lot of time there. It's the perfect place to spend a day or even just a few hours as we do.
We're always very excited when Seaworld launches a new exhibit or show. And this Memorial weekend they are launching the new One Ocean, the new killer whale show. Lastnight the boys and I attended the special preview showing for employees and their families. It was a great show. New fountains, new behavioral acts, new stage and the trainers even have new wetsuits. I'm still disappointed the trainers aren't allowed in the pool with the whales, but it's still a great show.
Another new exhibit Seaworld is working on is the Turtle Reef. This has been a long awaited exhibit for my family because we absolutely love seaturtles. This attraction is scheduled to open June 2011, just in time for the Summer. The Turtle Reef attraction is planned to be an interactive exhibit that will allow guests to get up close into the world of seaturtles. Click here for the Turtle Reef press release. So here's a sneak peek for you:
I could've stayed in this exhibit for hours. Though all the turtles were not in the tank yet, there were several. I felt like I was in the Finding Nemo movie as we sat and stared at the turtles.
If you haven't been to Seaworld San Diego, you must plan a trip soon. It's one of the best theme parks in San Diego! If you're not in the Southern California area, check out Seaworld.com for Orlando and San Antonio parks.
