"Beauty Balm" "Blemish Balm" BB Cream is everywhere these days.
Thanks to BzzAgent, I was given the Garnier B.B. Cream to test out and review. But before I had received it in the mail, I had gone out and bought it at Target. I just couldn't wait. I was previously using Korres Tinted Moisturizer (retail $32) which has since been discontinued. So I was on the hunt for a new tinted moisturizer, something less expensive. Needless to say when I heard about Garnier coming out with one, I knew I wanted to try it (even if I hadn't received it from BzzAgent.)
If you have skin discoloration, want to hydrate your skin and have lightweight coverage all at the same time, Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector B.B. Cream will do it. A cream with all the skincare products and coverage together in one cream. This cream claims to combine intense hydration with tinted minerals and Vitamin C to give you more even, radiant and smooth skin in minutes. It works on all skin types, contains pigments which melt instantly upon application. It is formulated with Vitamin C to renew your skin's natural radiance, creating that healthy glow every woman wants.
The real test and review
Many people have said the Garnier B.B. Cream wasn't good for oily skin and that it made their face my shiny and oily. In my opinion, it works well enough for my skin. I do have oily/combination skin. I have tried many, many products and nothing works to make my face completely matte throughout the day. The B.B. Cream works for me since I do not need full coverage foundation. I've always used tinted moisturizer or just concealer and powder. My holy grail for shine and oily skin is Benefit's Dr. Feel Good.
It evens out my skin tone very well. I'm not sure if it's actually "renewing" or improvement on my skin. It generally does give me a "smoother skin" look.
I've heard so many pros/cons for this. Some people like it, some people don't. I have oily/combination skin, after reading so many reviews of it NOT being good, I decided to try it anyways. I actually have been using it daily. I'm not one to use foundation, usually just tinted moisturizer. I have the medium/deep and am probably a little more tanner than you are. I find it to cover my blemishes fairly well. I like the way it works for me. I do still have to use a primer and translucent powder.
The price point is great, for 2.5fl oz it ranges from $11-13. It can be found at most drugstores like Walgreens, Walmart, Target, CVS.
Though it's not a "miracle" like it states, it is a great product. A temporary fix. I don't think it completely changed the look of my skin overall. I still have my night/day skincare routine that I have to do everyday. My biggest love for this is the lightweight coverage and how it evens out my skin tone and blemishes without the use of concealer. I have been using it daily for over a month. Even after a month I do not see any noticeable change in my skin and face, but I do notice that tinted moisturizers and foundation go on smoother and I do not have to use concealers much. My blemishes may have lighten. But that could be from my skincare routine as well. I have gotten compliments from people, and one special person, none other than my Husband! He usually only has comments when I have too much makeup on..and one day he just came home and noticed the smooth, glowing coverage I had. If I get a compliment from him then something is right!

- If you have oily skin you can skip this, unless you set it with powder
