Why not make every night a Friday's kind of night

This post is sponsored by Social Spark. All written comments are 100% my honest opinion.

I was so excited to hear about T.G.I FriDAY's Entrees for One. I'm a fan of T.G.I. Fridays. I purchased the steak fajitas (2) and chicken fajitas(2). I'm excited for this launch of new frozen entrees because fajitas are a meal my Husband and I love to have but my kids don't. And instead of making fajitas for my Husband and I, we can easily pop in a T.G.I. FRiDAY’S “Entrées for One” for ourselves. I originally saw mostly pastas, which we don't eat a lot of. One of the reasons why I picked up the fajitas froze meal, it was different! While at the store I also picked up the Sesame Orange Chicken meal in a bag for my kids. They love the sweetness of the orange chicken.
So as we had a T.G.I. FRiDAY’S “Entrées for One” dinner lastnight. We had the steak fajitas. Hubby was hesitant that it wasn't going to be great since it is a frozen meal. A few minutes (about 6 minutes) in the microwave and dinner is served! The tortillas were perfectly warmed, a bit small but warm. I could've done without the beans in the rice as I'm not much a fan of beans. But Hubby didn't complain. The portion size was perfect for ME, but ask my Hubby and he'll probably tell you he was still hungry afterwards. I was very impressed with T.G.I. FRiDAY’S “Entrées for One”. But even better...Hubby was impressed!! He enjoyed the cheesy rice. The steak and vegetables were tender and perfect. I tasted a few spices that were "spicy" or peppery but Hubby loved it. I think that meant he gave these T.G.I. FRiDAY’S “Entrées for One” a THUMBS UP!
Although the atmosphere at home is not like that of T.G.I. Friday's but to have the similar food at home is a great deal. Now if I only could have a Junebug to drink while I stare at the red and white stripes imagining I was out on a date at the restaurant with my Hubby. I hope to see more of a variety of T.G.I. FRiDAY’S “Entrées for One” soon. Maybe like the Jack Daniel Ribs? Hope to find the snacks in my local grocer soon. I love their crispy green bean fries. If you love frozen dinners, if you love T.G.I. Friday's or need a quick meal without sacrificing the taste try T.G.I. FRiDAY’S “Entrées for One”.

Happy First Day of Fall...

...Time to take care of your skin!

I can't believe how fast the year has gone by. Summer has now come to an end, a bittersweet feeling for us here in San Diego. For me, I love Summers, wearing shorts, maxi dresses, summer dresses, flip flops and soaking up the sun. Now that it's Fall and Winter will quickly come it's time to take out the sweaters, boots, scarves, jackets, gloves and closed toed shoes. Fortunately we are lucky enough to get some Summer like weather still from time to time. So don't just put away those Summer clothes yet.

The changes from Summer to Fall definitely start changing and can take a toll on your skin. For me, my face goes from oily to combination skin. By the time Winter comes I have a tougher time battling certain areas. Thank goodness Sigma has created a tool to help keep your skin cleansed and polished without frequent trips to the Spa or Salon. The Cleansing and Polishing tool is a tool to help your skin look bright, diminish pores and exfoliate. Not only is this tool a work of art, an answer to my prayers (and many of yours) but it is very affordable! For $39 it comes with three heads to fit your skin type.

52 Week Me Challenge: Week 14

Wow! Where have I been? I think I may have skipped a week or two. Life has been hectic since my oldest has started Kindergarten. Needless to say, life has been a challenge with getting back into our routines. So of course there wasn't much ME time in my week.

This past week Hubby had a whole week vacation. He works so hard, especially during the Summers. Now that Summer is over, he had a chance to take a whole week off. Unfortunately we couldn't go on vacation since Konnor was in school. We still enjoyed having him at home. We visited local museums, went to a San Diego Padres Game, went bowling with the kids. It even got a bit competitive as I've been bowling since I was 7yrs old and love it. We also spent time at the beach and parks. I attended a baby shower and the family and I had a few birthday parties to attend. We made the best of it. Besides, we live in beautiful San Diego where there is so much to do!

Aside from school, the boys are still into their extra curricular activities. That means Moms Taxi for me. The boys have started Brazilian Jiu Jitsu with Stronghold Gym. We have been on a trial with them because I want to make sure they really want to pursue this activity.  The owners of Stronghold are great and their instructor is very good with kids. He's friendly and precise which helps my kids understand and feel comfortable.

Konnor is still doing his music lessons weekly. The Fall Concert is coming up in November so he has been practicing several songs for the upcoming concert. He is going to be doing Rolling in the Deep by Adelle and Good Life by One Republic. There's another one he's playing, but I can't remember the name. It's from one of those Disney Channel stars. He is excited. The concert is going to be at a new venue this year so that's exciting too.

Back to ME! The most ME time I've been getting for myself is dedicating my time to blog. Taking a break from the daily household chores I have been sitting reading on my Kindle for Android, blogging and also playing Wordfeud and Words with Friends. It's not much but its my little time to relax. Relax? Is that a word in the Mommyhood vocabulary? Haven't done much shopping for myself this week. Follow me on FB or Twitter and you'll see daily posts from me with daily highlights.

Hopefully next week is more eventful for me as we start settling in more on our new routines. Happy 1st Day of Fall too! Time to bundle up! =)

Take me out to the ballgame

San Diego Padres vs. Arizona Diamondbacks
My Husband received Field Box VIP tickets for a recent SD Padres game. We thought it would be a perfect time to take the boys. The only other time we went with the kids was in May when Konnor's tball team walked on the field of Kids Day. That was a very important day and once in a lifetime experience for Konnor, but it was difficult for him and Kameron to concentrate on the baseball game from the nosebleed seats.
We had 8 tickets so we also invited other friends. We rode the trolley down to Petco Park to avoid parking and traffic. We arrived and found our seats. The Field Box tickets were perfect!!

Waiting for the Trolley

Enjoying the trolley ride

Dessert and drinks in the Omni Premier Club

It was an eventful night to say the least. The boys enjoyed the trolley ride to and from the ballpark. The fun times and especially all the yummy, must have baseball foods. Hot dogs, cotton candy, ice cream, fruits, cake...sweet treats were much needed and enjoyed. They were so overjoyed and couldn't even sleep. I thought for sure they'd be asleep on the trolley ride home. Once we arrived home, Mommy and Daddy were more tired than the kids and had to force them to go to bed!

Kids had fun ---Mommy, Daddy & Friends had fun ---San Diego Padres WON!
A PERFECT NIGHT!

San Diego Spot Light: Rueben H. Fleet Science Center

Located in lovely Balboa Park, I have grown up loving this place. Balboa Park is home to the famous San Diego Zoo as well as many other museums. I remember going to Balboa Park as a field trip in 5th grade. We stayed a week at the local elementary school and learned about all the fascinating history and hidden gems of Balboa ParkNow that I'm a Mom, I want to instill the beauty and education of nature and museums. Balboa Park is one of the best places in San Diego to start.
We often get free admission tickets to many of the museums in the park, including the Zoo. Because the exhibits and change often, we love going as often as we can. A few months ago I took my boys to the Rueben H. Fleet Science Center, one of my favorite museums in Balboa Park. I love that is a hands on, educational and fun place. Even as an adult, I learn something new each time I visit.
My boys love the hands on experience here. During this visit we watched a movie in the IMAX theater called "Tornado Alley". It was the boys first time in an IMAX theater. Their first experience really listening, watching and learning about tornadoes and storm chasers. I found the movie to be very interesting and educational. I normally watch shows and stories about storm chasers on the Weather Channel or on Discovery. The IMAX experience made the tornadoes feel that much more real.

We spent a good amount of time at the museum. The kids stopped to play, touch and ask questions about almost every exhibit. There were some new exhibits and some we've seen before yet they still inquired. I think Hubby had just as much fun as the kids since he hadn't been to that museum since he was a teenager. The exhibits consists of everything from illusion, geometry, identity, science, astronomy, energy and more.

Another kid favorite in the Science Center is a place for kids age 5 and under called "Kid City". It's a great little place for kids to have fun and learn within their means. Colorful, small and kid friendly helps kids feel interested in learning. My kids could stay here for hours if I let them. Included in the exhibit are computers where kids can play friendly, educational games.

I could go on and on about the Science Center. As I mentioned, it's one of my favorite museums in the entire Balboa Park. If you're ever in San Diego, definitely try to make it to Balboa Park and make some time for the museums.

30 Day Blog Challenge - Day22:How have you changed in the last 2 years?

Day22: How have you changed in the last 2 years?

Time is definitely no longer on my side. 2 years ago, doesn't seem too long ago. My life has changed a tad bit, for we are now living in San Diego. 2 years ago we were living an hour North in the "valley". My little one was barely a year old and my oldest was just entering the most fun time of his life learning more and more everyday. I was definitely a busy mom, and still am. Here are some photos of my boys 2 years ago.

I am still busier than ever. Taking care of two growing boys, being the best Wife I can be. Each year I age, I get wiser. I know what my family and I need, and I find out what we can do without. I am not taking classes right now, as I was a few years ago. Many things around me have changed or are changing (like my kids growing) but I've been the same. It seems sometimes as a Mom, I'm adapting to those around me.

2 years ago my blog was active, but not as active as it is today. A few years ago I was concentrating on my home business Photo Flair Designs. With the economy and slow wedding season, I haven't been as busy with the invitation business as I would like. It's ok though. I'm content with where I am in my life now as well as my family. Most importantly we are together as a FAMILY.

Savvy Shoppers? This one is for YOU!

As a Mom, I know how pricey it can be to raise kids. After I had my first son, I realized I couldn't always buy top name brand clothes or brand new items for him. It wasn't feasible to purchase things all the time, especially only having one income, from my Husband. I found a few local kid resale shops and I was hooked. My kids grew so fast. They had an entire closet full of clothes before they were even born! I can't count how many times I'd grab something, only to find out he no longer fit it. Tags and all, he never wore it and I had to get rid of it. The local resale and consignment shops really helped me get through buying (and selling) new and used clothing items and kid toys for the kids. Once Upon a Child was one I went to often.

My sister had always told me about a company called Just Between Friends. She had nothing but great stories to tell as well as great deals! If you haven't heard of Just Between Friends, check out their website. JBF had been featured on Good Morning America and other channels explaining their concept. The founders, Shannon and Daven have really wrapped their minds (and hearts) around this program which has been able to help many parents, grandparents and others.

If you'd like to get involved or attend a sale, be sure to check out their schedule. They may be coming to a city near you. For those in the San Diego area, they will be in La Mesa in October. I just signed up and am very excited. I am constantly clearing out my growing boys' closets and I'm sure Grandma has plenty of toys to get rid of too. With the recent finds my sister shared with me, I'm excited to see if I can find things for my own boys.

30 Day Blog Challenge - Day21: One of your favorite TV shows

Day21: One of your favorite TV shows

JUST one??? With the new Fall season lineup, I'm so happy to have many of my favorite shows come back and to see the new ones. It's the one time my Husband and I get to sit on the couch and cuddle is while watching our favorite Fall shows.

The new Hawaii Five-0 is a shared favorite with my Hubby. We have watched every episode together. I love it for a few reasons. One, being a show of action, suspense and a great cast. I love that is filmed in Hawaii, an island that I often miss and also have lived there when I was younger. I remember watching the original Hawaii Five-0 with my Grandpa and loved it as a child. The favorite thing about the new show...the Australian hottie, Steve McGarett, played by Alex O'Laughlin. If you didn't know, McGarett is from Australia and has a thick Australian accent in real life! So sexy!!

Some of my other favorite shows are, Pretty Little Liars, The Lying Game, NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles, CSI: Las Vegas, 90210 and of course many of the Reality TV shows.

What are you favorite TV shows?

My Favorite Fall Nail Collection

It's starting to feel like FALL here in Sunny San Diego. The days are a bit cool but still full of sun. The nights are cold and that means snuggling up with the Hubby and kids. But Fall also means a time to change up my wardrobe with sweaters, boots, makeup and especially nail polish. During the Summer my favorites were bright colors and sometimes funky, wild nail colors. With the Fall quickly approaching it's time for colors like, burnt orange, burgundy, browns and yellows. My favorite nail color collection is the one from Essie.
